"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice." (Ephesians 4:31)
Isaiah 58:9 says, "Then shalt though call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am, if thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger and speaking vanity." Notice the Lord hears you when you are holding things against others, being judgmental, speaking evil, and speaking pridefully about others. These things hinder our prayers and what we are believing God for.
The opposite of the above is the God kind of LOVE.
Help me, mighty Father, to keep the right attitude, the right thoughts in my mind, and the words of my mouth free from bitterness and evil speaking at all times. When either circumstances or other people’s actions try me, may I be like you Jesus and respond with your love. I repent of all bitterness and evil speaking in my life, fully realizing that it can defile myself and others. From this time forward, I will forsake all bitterness, wrath, quarreling, resentment, and evil speaking. I put them behind now in Jesus' name. AMEN!
