Pastor Phyllis Lawson
Pastor Phyllis Lawson is a native of Gary, Indiana, the eldest of three. She serves as Co-Pastor and Executive Administrator of JWOC, where she provides ministerial and administrative oversight for all auxiliaries within the church.
Pastor Phyllis is not only a Pastor, but she is a businesswoman for God. She is the founder of The Annual Real Women's Conference, hosting renowned speakers and artists and she also conducts seminars that deal with women’s issues such as low self-esteem, stress, discouragement, anxiety, finding your purpose and establishing a vision.
She is the founder of Acts Productions, a drama ministry with plays such as “Single’s Cry” and “The Prodigal Son” to name but a few, plus several mini skits to her credit. Pastor Phyllis Lawson is an avid songwriter and choreographer and she directs the Judah Dance Ministry.
The qualifications and justifications for the call that God has on her life is based on Isaiah 61:1, "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound".
Pastor Phyllis enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to Pastor Elisha Lawson, Senior Pastor of Jesus World Outreach Ministries, and out of this union they have 3 robust boys, Jamal, Elisha and Elijah, two grandsons Caleb and Isaac and a granddaughter Ariana.
